Since 2008 we have raised over £200 000 for charity

Many thanks to our clients who have supported us including Axa, Barclaycard, Barchester, Consolidated PR, The Cooperative Group, Fidelity, First Quench Retail, Land Securities Trillium, Mason Telecom, MGM Advantage, Nest, Schroders and The Children’s Mutual.

We continue to work closely with a number of charities including our strategic charity partner Afrikids ( www.afrikids.org). To support this work Alistair and Georgie Fienberg, the founder of Afrikids, give talks about: leadership, setting up an award winning charity and organising a charity expedition. In return we ask for a donation towards the work of Afrikids. Both Georgie and Alistair are regular contributors at SOSE (the School of Social Entrepreneurs).

A leadership development opportunity

In October 2008, as part of our fund raising activity, Jackie and Alistair along with 18 other business leaders and clients, reached the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa.

Alistair, who led the walk, was surprised by the intensity of the leadership experience and the positive development in terms of his own learning.  Replicating that experience would be a great (and cost-effective) leadership development opportunity for a business.  This is how it might work:

• An individual is selected by the business to lead, create, plan and implement a charity fundraising opportunity

• The individual would work closely with Afrikids, who would provide strategic input and Alistair, who would provide individual coaching

• The business would benefit from a free development opportunity as well as good CSR publicity

• The individual would have a great leadership challenge combined with the opportunity to reflect and learn from the experience

The core requirements for this ( and the reason that we are prepared to offer coaching support ) are:

• The individual has the capability and willingness to undertake a significant challenge
• The target is to raise at least £100,000 for Afrikids
